Risk disclosure

Last updated

Please read this before using Luindy. Digital assets are not bank deposits, are not insured by any government scheme, and can lose value. You should only use funds you can afford to lose.

1. Stablecoin risk

USDC and USDT are designed to hold a value of one US dollar but this is not guaranteed. An issuer could fail to hold adequate reserves, be subject to regulatory action, or suspend redemptions. Either coin has traded below one dollar for short periods in the past and may do so again.

2. Network risk

The Solana network may experience congestion, outages or bugs that delay or prevent transactions. Transactions sent on a blockchain are generally irreversible. Funds sent to a wrong address or on a wrong network are usually unrecoverable.

3. Lending risk

Lending on Luindy is not a deposit. Your funds are lent to borrowers who post collateral. In a sharp market move collateral may fall in value faster than it can be sold, which could cause loss. Early withdrawal forfeits accrued interest. Luindy may be unable to return funds if it becomes insolvent.

4. Borrowing risk

If the value of the SOL you borrowed rises so that your loan reaches the settlement loan-to-value, the loan is settled from your stablecoin collateral and a fee is kept from it. Settlement can occur quickly in volatile markets, including while you are asleep or offline. Interest accrues daily until you repay. Asset-backed loans are a contractual obligation to repay on the agreed schedule; missed repayments may lead to recovery against the asset and to the loan being called in.

5. Operational and technology risk

Software can contain bugs. Infrastructure can be attacked. We use independent audits, isolated wallet infrastructure, monitoring and limits to reduce these risks but cannot eliminate them.

6. Regulatory risk

Laws governing digital assets are changing. Changes could affect the tax treatment of your activity or require Luindy to modify features.

7. Rates on this website

Until a service is live, rates shown on the website are illustrative targets and not an offer. Live rates will be shown in the app before you confirm any transaction.

8. No advice

Nothing on this website is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Consider seeking independent advice before using the Services.
